Men

men

There are plenty of opportunities at St Saviour’s for men to get together – both for social gatherings, over a curry and a pint, and for thought-provoking talks and discussions. These are times when we can help one another to keep grounded in truth and wisdom, and to build up our faith and character in Jesus. As well as having a bit of banter and a little chat about railways, sport, and our various musical tastes!

Monthly events

Men’s breakfast

Our monthly men’s breakfast is a chance to meet up with other men in our area for good food and a good word. Come along to forge friendships, to explore life issues, and to strengthen your faith. There’s a full English breakfast, an illuminating talk by a different speaker every month, and plenty of time for stimulating conversations about life’s challenges and adventures. Be equipped, and be encouraged.

Takes place: the fourth Saturday of the month, 8-9am (excluding August and December)

Venue: various venues around the benefice – keep an eye on the calendar for details

Key contact: Steve Farrant to book a place, and let him know about any dietary requirements

Men’s curry night

A social time for men – meet up with mates, both new and longstanding. It’s curry night, so faith or no faith, come and enjoy curry and a pint (other food available!), or just come along for a drink and a chat.

Takes place: the fourth Wednesday of the month, 7.30-9.30pm

Venue: The Cranleigh Pub, Clingan Road, Bournemouth BH6 5PY

Cost: Check out the pub website for current information on Curry Wednesday deals

Key contact: Steve Farrant

Prayer breakfast for men

All men welcome to share in God’s word, watch a five-minute video clip, pray, and encourage one another – and then have breakfast, consisting of yummy home-baked bread rolls and croissants. We meet on the first Saturday of the month. What a great way to start a Saturday!

(Preferably fast the night before (Friday) if you can, but obviously it might not be possible if you have been invited out.)

Takes place: the first Saturday of the month, starting at 7.30am

Venue: 37 Warnford Road, BH7 6QU

Key contact: Livio Ferrone
