At St Saviour’s we believe we are to love God and love our neighbour. As part of this expression of our faith, we are committed to several mission partners and friends, both at home and abroad.
This commitment involves praying, giving, and supporting mission locally, nationally and internationally. In turn, our partners involve us in their mission, keep us informed, and give us a bigger picture of God’s love and care.
Our mission involvement is overseen by our World Mission Core Group who meet regularly to pray for our missions, take decisions on how we support our mission partners, and keep raising awareness within our church family.
Key contact: Julian Shelton, chair of the World Mission Core Group.

Teso Development Trust (Uganda)
Because of a historic link between Winchester Diocese and Uganda, we are active in supporting Soroti and Kumi Dioceses, primarily via the Teso Development Trust. This is a relief development and mission organisation working in the Teso region of Uganda to provide relief, education, water and health care. We have contributed to various projects, both on a regular ongoing basis and with one-off gifts for specific initiatives.

Samaritan’s Purse UK
Samaritan’s Purse UK is an international relief and development organisation that works through local churches to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God amongst communities in need (in countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia) across the world.
We support various events in aid of Samaritan’s Purse throughout the year, including Operation Christmas Child and Turn on the Tap. St Saviour’s has also become a Lighthouse Church, which means we would be involved in helping our community in a time of need or disaster, with support from Samaritan’s Purse.

As part of our ongoing support to Wycliffe, we are trying to fill our Jeroboam jar with 5p coins. How quickly can we reach the top?!
Please be collecting your 5p pieces and bring them along to put in the jar each Sunday. We would love to richly bless Julian and Catherine’s colleagues, Anya and Jacob, with the proceeds, that their work may bear fruit.
