Come and hear about the Purple Teardrop Campaign at our Thursday Club this month.
The Purple Teardrop Campaign was launched by Poole Soroptomists to eliminate ‘trafficking’ of women and girls and the ensuing abuse, and to help rebuild the lives of those affected. What happens to victims of sex exploitation? How are funds used to help their recovery? How can awareness be raised to the general public? How could we help if we suspected a person was a victim of trafficking?
Mrs Pauline Monk will be speaking about the campaign and ways to help.
Our monthly club provides a friendly opportunity for ladies of all ages to enjoy talks and activities together. We have regular speakers giving presentations on many and varied topics, trips out to the panto and other venues, charity coffee evenings, musical occasions, and more.
Takes place: Thursday 15 June at 7.30pm
Venue: the Link
