What’s bright, light, and happens on 31 October?
The Light Party! Come and celebrate the light of life …
Instead of dressing up as witches and ghosts, and getting into all the things to do with Halloween on 31 October, we want to show children and parents a brilliant and positive alternative. The Light Party is a great celebration of the light of life, focusing on all the good things God has given us, and showing how exciting and fun following Jesus can be.
This year there’s a heady mix of games, face-painting, art and crafts, a Bouncy castle, a disco and DJ, and a prize for the best fancy dress costume (no witches etc, please!).
There’s food and drink too, of course: we’ll have a tasty BBQ; our Link café, serving tea and coffee; plus plenty of cakes, treats, and soft drinks.
With an entertaining and spectacular puppet show for the grand finale, featuring some of your favourite heroes, there will be lots of laughs and fun, in an uplifting story about light and hope.
‘Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”’ John 8 verse 12
